MICROLEARNING PROJECT AND REFLECTION
For this exercise, I have decided to pick Canva, a graphic design platform used to create attractive looking virtual content such as posters, presentations, flyers, social media graphics, infographics and other templates. I had used some of the other design platforms in the different projects leading up to the finalization of this portfolio and found that I was very keen to learn an additional platform as it will likely be helpful for my future work.
I have decided to design an infographic for a new process about to be launched at my company. Please note that I could not hyperlink the documents in this case as I am unable to publish that information publicly. The version which I will be using to bring people along to the new process will have many documents hyperlinked for clarification.

Which learning theories supported my learning process?
Constructivism: In this case constructivism played a part in my learning process because I relied on my previous knowledge from having worked with similar software's in the past. Usually all of these programs are not too different from each other and with a good trial and error approach and by reviewing some of the FAQs and Youtube videos, much of how to use the software can be self taught based on previous knowledge.
Andragogy: The simple fact that I decided to focus my MicroLearning Project on learning to use another design platform because I wanted to design a newly implemented process at work shows that Andragogy played a big part in this decision. I was motivated and quick to learn this new program because it solved an immediate problem for me at work (orientation & readiness).
Authentic assessment: I think the fact that I will be using the designed document at work to bring along people in implementing a new process ensures that it's an authentic assessment. Not only did I learn how to use the software throughout the development process but I will actually be using the final product in a real life environment to teach employees about a newly implemented process. Having managed to use the software to design an attractive infographic which I feel comfortable sharing at work shows that I have learned the program quite well.
I am certain there are some other theories that also supported my learning process but I believe that the ones mentioned above are likely the most prevalent.
